I created this website to share my thoughts and ideas and to hone and improve them through the act of writing. The essays reflect my interests as a pastor-theologian. I write about many topics: systematic theology, biblical exegesis, culture, politics, the arts, and more. I have long believed that the essayist has a needed role in our culture. I make no pretense of being a great essayist. But I have ideas I want to share, and it helps me as a pastor-theologian to write. While I have certainly made mistakes over the years, I’ve always attempted to write honestly, with the goal of sharing my thoughts to help people live better lives and love Christ more.
